Tomato
Turkey is the third-ranked tomato producer in the world. Tomato has been grown in the Mediterranean region since 1900's and is today one of the most important vegetables in the country.
The early (spring and summer) and the late (autumn and winter) season ones grows in the Aegean, Marmara and Inner Anatolia regions in the glass houses as well as the open areas.
