Apricot
Turkey is the biggest apricot producer in the world with 538000t production per annum. Mediterranean and Aegean regions have a very convenient climate for early apricot production. The fruit is produced in Malatya, Elazig and Nigde to be consumed fresh and dry and in the rest of Turkey it is only produced for fresh consumption.
